COVID 19

To our valued Clients,

We hope you and your family are in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

We are committed to protecting the safety of our clients, our team, and our community while maintaining the highest quality of care for you, our valued patient. Thus, in accordance with the very latest recommendations from the Department of Health, we ask that you follow the steps below to best ensure the safety of all if you have an in-office appointment with us:

  • SCREENING: Our office will communicate with you prior to your scheduled appointment to ask some screening questions. You will be asked those same questions again once you come into the office.

  • SCHEDULING:

    • We will be scheduling appointments in a manner that promotes social distancing and allows for adequate time for disinfection of all areas in between patients. This will reduce the number of patients in the common areas.

    • We will do our best to reduce your waiting time, but this may mean that you might be offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.

  • COME ALONE to your appointment unless with a carer or a guardian( for under 16's)

  • WAITING AREA: You may notice that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines or refreshments as these items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

  • Bring a FACE COVERING (facemask or cloth covering) that covers your nose and mouth. All patients, visitors, and staff are required to wear face coverings at all times while at our office. If you do not have your own face covering, we will provide one for you.

  • REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE or outside of the building and call the office to let our team know you have arrived. We will then bring out any paperwork you need to sign (ie COVID-19 consents and/or Procedure Consent) – this paperwork will be emailed to you ahead of your appointment to be completed prior to your arrival, which we encourage.

  • We will call you when we are ready for you.  Please have your face covering on before the team member meets you; if you have indicated that you do not have your own face covering, we will bring one out to you.  One of our medical assistants will meet you in the foyer for a temperature check and you will be asked the following SCREENING QUESTIONS:

  • Have you had any flu-like symptoms such as a cough, fever, shortness of breath or loss of smell today?

  • Have you taken any fever reducing medications today? (i.e. Tylenol, ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen)

  • In the last 4 weeks, have you had any contact with patients either diagnosed with or exposed to COVID-19?

      • We will take your temperature with a no-contact forehead thermometer. The CDC defines a fever at 37.7 degrees celsius or 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or higher. If you have a fever, we will reschedule your appointment.

      • If you answered YES to these screening questions, we would reschedule you for an appointment in 2 weeks or later.

  • If you do not have a fever, you will be escorted into the building, maintaining an appropriate SOCIAL DISTANCE. A team member will escort you directly into an exam room. At this time, there is no waiting in our reception area.

  • In the exam room, you will be attended to by our medical staff, all who will be wearing medical grade masks, face shields and/or protective glasses, as well as medical gloves.

  • At the conclusion of your appointment, you will be escorted to the reception area to CHECK OUT.  Please have your payment ready and any coupons ready. Coupons must be downloaded and ready before your appointment as We cannot assist you with this at the front desk at this time. Please call us the day before your appointment if you need assistance with this.

  • BOOKING YOUR FOLLOW-UP appointments:  we will schedule your next appointment once you are back in your vehicle in our parking lot. Please make sure to have your calendar handy.

  • We will run weekend only appointments for the month of July to help us adjust and will keep you informed of any changes

In addition to the aforementioned precautions, the following safeguards are being taken to maintain the pristine environment you know us:

  • Disinfecting all surfaces and high-volume areas each morning and night as well as in between patients using medical-grade disinfecting products.

  • Scheduling regular professional cleaning services.

  • Offering hand sanitizer stations at the entrance, near workstations and in exam rooms.

  • Spacing our patient appointments to minimize patient contact with other patients and staff.

  • Screening all team members prior to their work shift.

  • We appreciate your continued patience and flexibility.

We appreciate your continued patience and flexibility, and look forward to seeing you again soon.  Please feel free to call us anytime, we are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we are taking to keep you, and every patient safe in our practice.

As always, thank you for your continued support. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,
